In 2011, German police only fired 85 bullets

According to Germany's Der Spiegel, police in Germany fired a total of just 85 bullets against people in 2011.

Out of these - 49 were warning shots and 36 were aimed rounds fired at suspects. 15 persons were injured, six were killed.

It has to be noted that Germany's GSG 9 is one of the world's best special police units. The country even offered to help India during the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Website, Boing Boing added that in the United States, a total of 84 rounds were fired at a SINGLE suspect in Harlem in New York. Another unlucky suspect in Los Angeles saw over 90 rounds of ammunition being fired at him.
