The trial of Rajesh and Nupur Talwar for the sensational 2008 murder their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj will begin at a sessions court here on Friday.
Special judicial magistrate Preeti Singh committed the case to the court of district and sessions judge Bharat Bhushan, saying she didn’t have powers under the Criminal Procedure Code to try a murder case, which can only be done by a sessions court.
Ms Singh rejected the Talwars’ plea that the case can’t be tried yet as they hadn’t been supplied all the documents.
