In a shocking incident, a man killed his second wife and two daughters by slitting their throat in Kola Narayanpur village in Bihar's Bhagalpur district, police said on Friday.
The bodies of the victims Mala Devi (35) and her daughters Sheelam Kumari (9) and Karishma (2) were recovered from a field in the village on Saturday evening, the police said.
The man, identified as Jaldhar Das, had killed his wife and two daughters by slitting their throat and threw their bodies in a field three days ago apparently being fed up with frequent quarrel with his wife with whom his relations had soured of late as she was putting pressure on him to give her money, they said.
Das, a native of Ramnagar village, had taken his wife and daughters to a court in Bhagalpur in connection with a case, but got down from a vehicle at Kola Narayanpur village and took to the victims to a field where he slit their throat and killed them, the police said.
The accused fled to Purnia after committing the triple murder but he was arrested and handed over to Bhagalpur police, they said.
