[1]If losing a close match against the Rajasthan Royals, their third on the trot, wasn’t enough agony for Deccan Chargers on Tuesday, their spinner Amit Mishra was warned on Wednesday for use of offensive language during their match at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
The incident occurred in the last ball of Mishra’s spell which Brad Hodge cut for a four but with some help from the point fielder Bharat Chipli. Chipli’s misfield saw Mishra losing his cool and he uttered some chosen words in disgust.
Mishra was handed an official warning and reprimand for a Level 1 offence on Wednesday which falls under Article 2.1.4 of the rules concerning use of offensive language during the match.
"Mr Mishra admitted the offence and accepted the sanction," an IPL release said.
Mishra was the most successful bolwer for the Chargers on the day and even gave them an outside an outside chance in the match after prising out Ashok Menaria, Ajinkya Rahane and Owais Shah off his successive overs but the Chargers ran into a marauding Hodge to see their hopes evaporate.
