A minor girl here on Monday lodged a complaint with police accusing her father of trying to sell her and her younger sister.
Jyoti, 15, of village Jakhaita near here said in her complaint that her father Pancham tried to sell her and younger sister Poonam, 14, to two men for Rs 80,000, SSP Gulab Singh said.
However, villagers intervened when Pancham recently tried using force to allegedly sell her daughters, Singh said, adding protection has been provided to the two girls and a case registered against their father.
