The city-based Identity Fitness Club for Women is organising an open and free three-month long competition on weight loss, with total prize money and gifts worth Rs 5 lakh, from April to June.
The competition is being organised to encourage women to take up healthy lifestyles, fight obesity and other health hazards.
One will get rewarded for donating fat to the ‘Fat Bank’ (for losing weight). The more one loses fat — without any artificial means, but through diet and exercise in three months — the higher will be the remuneration.
Vishnu Saraf, MD of the fitness club, said that every month top donors will get gifts and cash awards. Also, for every two kgs lost, a person will get a voucher worth Rs 500.
“Any woman can register for the programme. She also shouldn’t be using any artificial therapy, laser, pills etc,” he said.
