Rescuers find site of Afghan plane crash
Salang : Afghan and Nato rescuers on Tuesday located the area where an Afghan passenger plane crashed with 43 people on board, including three Britons and an American.
More than 24 hours after the plane lost radio contact over the treacherous Hindu Kush mountains, the pros-pect of finding survivors appeared slim as anguished relatives gathered at the foot of the mountain-pass near Salang. —AFP

N. Korea House to meet in rare second session
Seoul : North Korea will convene a rare second parliamentary session in early June, amid rising tensions over speculation that the regime may have torpedoed a South Korean warship in March. No reason for the second session was given, but analysts said it might be related to high tension over the sunken ship, supreme leader Kim Jong Il’s recent trip to China or his moves to groom his son as eventual successor. —AP
