A foreigner on Sunday allegedly tried to enter the Sakchi gurudwara here wearing shoes but was caught hold by the people at the gurudwara, police sources said.
The people in the gurudwara caught hold of the foreinger when he tried to enter the gurudwara when he allegedly tried to enter the gurudwara by wearing shoes.
The foreigner was let off gurudwara managing committee after he apologised.
Police sources, however, could not provide the details including the name and the nationality of the foreigner.
Meanwhile, the president of Sakchi gurudwara prabandhak committee Surjit Singh was roughed up by some people for not taking any action or lodging a case against the foreigner and letting him off, police said.
Two persons have been arrested for assaulting the Singh, police sources added.
