Sri Lanka scored 289 for six wickets after winning the toss and batting in their tri-series one-day international in Brisbane on Tuesday.

Lahiru Thirimanne top scored for the Sri Lankans with 62, while off-spinner Ravi Ashwin took 2-50 from 10 overs for India.
