Bebo puts Imran on the spot

Ever since the day Imran Khan made his debut in Bollywood with Jaane Tu…, he has been under Aamir Khan’s rather impressive shadow. And though he did get bonafide hits like Delhi Belly and Mere Brother Ki Girlfriend against his name, the spectre of Aamir still looms large over Imran.

Even as recently as this week, Kareena Kapoor reminded him of mamujaan. At an event, where Kareena and Imran were promoting their Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Kareena couldn’t stop raving about Aamir Khan. “The event was about the pairing of Kareena and Imran, but she just couldn’t stop singing Aamir’s praises. Embarrassed, Imran just sat there while Kareena and Aamir became the sole topic of discussion,” says an eyewitness.
It was all the more embarrassing for Imran because he has always expressed his fondness for Bebo. Since the day he started out, he has been waiting for a chance to work opposite her. But then Kareena has always been very honest about her feelings and her equation with people. “I am a die-hard fan of Aamir. It’s my immense respect and love for Aamir which has rubbed off on Imran as well,” she said.
And Imran? Not too happy being second best, he just sat there and grinned it out. Maybe Imran doesn’t mind getting overshadowed by his superstar uncle, but there are obviously limits.
