London, May 9: Britain on Sunday did not get any closer to ending uncertainty about its next government as Tory and Lib-Dem negotiators decided to meet again on Monday after spending the whole of Sunday trying to thrash out a power-sharing deal.
Conservative leader David Cameron and his Liberal-Democrat counterpart Nick Clegg talked on the phone Sunday afternoon an hour-long face-to-face talks on Saturday night. No details were, however, revealed.
Tory shadow foreign secretary William Hague left the Cabinet Office, where negotiations are being held, at 5.30 pm Sunday. “We’ve had some very positive and productive discussions. We intend to meet again over the next 24 hours,” he said on leaving the meeting.
