Solicitor-general Gopal Subramaniam stated this on Saturday after his return from the US where he discussed the legal implications relating to the Headley case, including India’s demand for his extradition for which letters rogatory have already been sent by the court.
Stating that a new team would be sent to the US soon to pursue the matter further, the S-G said, “All the bottlenecks are removed and we have a way forward. So it is up to us now to operationalise the plan.”
“Once we have constituted our team (of investigators) and get off board, the access (to Headley) should be possible,” he told reporters when asked about the success of his trip to the US.
