At least 16 are missing after a boat carrying tourists capsized in Pulicat lake, 58 kms from Chennai, on Sunday.
Initial reports claim the boat was carrying at least 20 passengers. Eyewitnesses added some from the boat were rescued by locals.
Search is on for survivors.
