Pop diva Madonna says she took help from ex-husbands Guy Ritchie and Sean Penn on her forthcoming film, WE.
The 53-year-old singer wrote and directed the historical biopic about the love affair between Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson and she says she often asked Sherlock Holmes director Ritchie and Penn, who has directed five films, for their help on her second directorial effort, reported the Telegraph.
“I talked to Sean about making the film, and he’s always been supportive of me. I gave the screenplay to Guy and shared the concepts and the stories and the ideas with him because he was interested in it from a historical point of view,” said Madonna.
