Mayawati on Tuesday announced the state Cabinet's decision in the favour of dividing Uttar Pradesh into four smaller states.
Mayawati said such a move to set up Poorvanchal, Harit Pradesh, Bundelkhand and central Uttar Pradesh will enable better administration.
Mayawati said that the state government would formally move a motion in the state assembly when it meets on November 21. She was addressing a press conference
However, Samajwadi Party slammed Mayawati's move and said she has done nothing for the state.
