Many were surprised to see Vidya Balan actually turn up for the shoot of Kaun Banega Crorepati recently, as she was battling ill health and low blood pressure for a long time. But ignoring her doctor’s advice, Vidya insisted on appearing on a special episode of KBC, not because she wanted to promote her upcoming The Dirty Picture, but out of respect for Amitabh Bachchan.
“She was on complete bed rest for more than a week when she received the call asking her to appear on KBC. And even though she was very weak, she was jumping with excitement,” says her spokesperson.
The actress, who worked with Amitabh Bachchan in Paa, has always thought they share a special bond. “She played his mother in the film. She wouldn’t have missed another chance to share the frame for anything in the world,” the spokesperson adds.
Recently, Hrithik Roshan had also injured himself severely, but continued shooting for Agneepath, even though he hadn’t recovered completely.
