Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani on Sunday denied that he would not visit Bengaluru as part of his ongoing Jan Chetna Yatra and said the trip was very much on.
"I don't have any knowledge that my scheduled trip to Bengaluru has been cancelled. I am hearing from you that it has been cancelled," the former deputy prime minister told reporters.
"I will go to Karnataka and of course to Bengaluru as well," he said.
Informed sources had said Saturday that Advani would skip his rally in Bengaluru on October 30 as former chief minister of Karnataka B.S. Yeddyurappa is jailed on corruption charges.
Advani reached Chhattisgarh on Saturday on a two-day schedule of his yatra.
