[1]DMK chief M. Karunanidhi met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here on Saturday even as a special CBI court was set to frame charges in the 2G spectrum case in which his daughter and MP Kanimozhi is one of the accused.
Karunanidhi met Sonia Gandhi at her 10 Janpath residence, sources said. This is his first meeting with the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson after Kanimozhi and former minister A. Raja were jailed in the 2G spectrum case.
Karunanidhi is likely to meet Kanimozhi in Tihar Jail, party sources said.
He met Home Minister P. Chidambaram in the morning.
