The Canadian maker of BlackBerry handsets Research in Motion (RIM) Tuesday said its services, which had been affected Monday evening, have been restored and the company is probing the cause of the fault.
"We're investigating, and we apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused whilst this is resolved," RIM said in a statement.
Millions of BlackBerry users in India, Europe, Middle East and Africa suffered problems in internet and messaging services for several hours Monday evening from around 4 p.m.
However, the outage was not across the board as many BlackBerry users in the country did not face any glitch.
India has over one million BlackBerry users.
