[1]In a case of honour killing, a youth was killed allegedly by brothers of a married girl with whom he was in a relationship in Hanumangarh district, police said.
The youth, identified as Dholipal village-resident Prahalad alias Bablu, had recently eloped with Suman. Yesterday, three brothers of the girl caught Bablu and tied him to a tree. They then assaulted him with batons and sharp-edged weapons in broad daylight, police said.
The trio left the spot after they took Bablu as dead. The youth was later taken to a nearby hospital where doctors referred him to Bikaner government hospital.
The youth died while he was being taken to Bikaner, police said.
The trio -- Pintu, Devendra and Sandeep -- were arrested in this connection, they added.
