Vinoo Mankad trophy: Karnataka grab five points
Hosts Karnataka picked up five points after defeating Goa by eight wickets in a rain-affected game that was reduced to 24 overs a side in the South Zone Under-19 cricket tournament for the Vinoo Mankad trophy, here Saturday.
Goa made 99 for 2 in 24 overs while Karnataka chased a revised target of 141 that they achieved quite comfortably with Shreyas Gopal (58 not out) being the top scorer.
Two other matches could not be completed due to rains as Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Hyderabad picked up two points apiece.
