Spearhead wins Friday feature

Aug. 12: S.S. Attaollahi-trained Spearhead was given a brilliant ride by Ladjadj Stephane to bag the Governor’s Cup, the major attraction of the concluding day’s races of the summer season held here on Friday.
Neil Darashah emerged the champion trainer with 17 wins and 18 second places. The Kingfisher Derby winner Pronto Pronto has been declared as the champion horse of the season, while Shuddering bagged the horse of the season title with three wins in as many starts. Dr Vijay Mallya has been declared as the leading individual owner.
