Providence clinches main event

Zadmal Singh-trained debutante Providence was given a perfect ride by C.S. Jodha to claim the Raja Bahadur Pittie Million, the feature event of the races held here on Sunday.

Ridden well by Jodha, the Providence, whose odds were pegged at 7 to 1, accelerated through the centre of the track to take charge inside the final furlong of the sprint race, and defeated Wasabi by a length at the finish line, leaving the rest of the field a distance behind .
