Paes-Melzer in final; Murray, Fedex advance

Shanghai, Oct. 16: Roger Federer secured the chance of a revenge win over Andy Murray in the Shanghai Masters final after beating Novak Djokovic 7-5, 6-4 in the semifinal here on Saturday.

Scotland’s Murray defeated Argentina’s Juan Monaco 6-4, 6-1.

Meanwhile, Leander Paes and Jurgen Melzer snapped Mike and Bob Bryan’s 20-match winning streak with a 7-5, 6-1 win.

Paes and Melzer will face the Polish pair of Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski, who beat Lukasz Kobot and Austria’s Oliver Marach 7-6 (7), 1-6, 10-6 in the other semifinal.
