Juniors end show with four medals

The Indian youngsters picked up two silver and two bronze medals on the final day of the 14th Asian Junior Athletics Championship in Hanoi, Vietnam. In the men’s 10,000M walk, Mani Ram Patel clinched the silver in 45:06.51 minutes while Arpinder Singh added one more silver to India’s tally when his 16.1- metre effort fetched him the second place in triple jump.

Andhra Pradesh girl Chinta Gunti Santhi bagged the third place in the 200M dash in 24.46 seconds. The quartet of Nirupama Sunderraj, N.Sarvani, Santhi and Gayathry G. completed the 4x100M relay in 45.83 seconds to claim the bronze.
The Indians signed-off with 2 gold and 6 silver and bronze medals each.
