JPSI acquires TV rights of Indian Rd

Jaypee Sports International Limited, promoters of the Buddh International Circuit, have acquired the exclusive TV rights for live transmission of the Indian round of the FIM Superbike world championship, to be held here in March 2013.

The deal licenses JPSI to resell the TV rights of the main race along with the support races to the Indian broadcasters.
The four-year contract will run till 2016, and will also permit JPSI to resell non-exclusive TV rights to broadcasters for other non-India WSBK races.
Commenting on the development, JPSI chief Sameer Gaur, said, “We are delighted with the deal as this will help generate additional revenue apart from sponsorships.”
The forst World Superbike race will make its Indian debut on March 9 and 10 next year.
