Indian team flexes muscles
Nov. 21: The Indian bodybuilding team created history on Saturday in the Musclemania World Body Building Championship by winning four places. The tournament, held from November 18 to 20 at Las Vegas, USA, saw Telangana Body Builders Association’s Laxman Reddy winning a gold in the heavy weight category. Raju Yadav Manuka of Hyderabad clinched bronze in the lightweight category.
Maharashtra’s Vikas Singh won a silver in the professional category of the tournament. Meanwhile, Sandeep Kumar was placed fourth in the junior World championship. Mohtesham Ali, who hails from Hyderabad was the coach of the team while Mohan Rao was the manager. Prem Chand Degra and Chetan Pathare were the officials from Indian Body Builders Federation who supported the Indian team during the meet.
