India are South Asia champs
India beat Pakistan 31-19 at Lucknow’s KD Singh Babu Stadium on Sunday to emerge champions in the 4th South Asia women’s handball championship.

India surged ahead in the first half of the match itself, taking a 20-11 lead.
Pakistan came back strongly after the break and attacked the Indian half repeatedly. But not only the hosts defended their half resolutely but also kept a firm grip on the match with 11 more goals in the second half.
In the end, the title clash proved a relatively easy outing for the hosts as they won the match 31-19.
The four-day event was held under the aegis of the Indian Handball Federation.
Lucknow high court chief justice Ritu Raj Awasthi gave away the prizes.
