Abhishek Yadav’s brace helped CRPF School thrash Agnel Public School, Noida, 4-0 and enter the semi-finals of the second edition of the Airtel Rising Stars-Delhi leg football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi on Thursday.
Mohammad Aqib gave the early lead to his team in the 5th minute. Yadav extended the lead by scoring a brace in the 8th and 44th minutes. Mukesh’s goal four minutes later sealed the victory.
In another quarter-final, DPS Vasant Kunj rode on Vatsal’s (2nd, 49th minutes) brace to blank NK Bargodia Public School from Rohini 3-0. Arjun (32nd minute) was the other scorer.
Rohini-based GD Goenka Public School beat Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vasant Vihar, 4-2 (0-0) in the penalty shoot out while Apeejay Public School, Noida, outplayed Goverment School Sector-11 Rohini 4-2.
