Bopanna, Qureshi falter in final
Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi on Saturday missed out on their second ATP Tour title of the season as they lost the final of the Nice event in France despite a rollicking start.
Bopanna and Qureshi had grabbed a one-set lead in quick time but could not survive the counter-attack of Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares and lost the summit clash 6-1, 3-6, 5-10.
The third seeded Brazillian duo captured their first ATP World Tour doubles title together and got euro 21,650 as a team and 250 points each. Bopanna and Qureshi split euro 11,360 as prize money and earned 150 ATP ranking points each.
