Aussie striker at ease with Delhi Games
Perth (Australia), Sept. 27: Three-time world player of the year Jamie Dwyer said on Monday he has no concerns about heading to the Delhi Games as the Australian team chase their fourth consecutive Commonwealth gold medal.
Australia’s Kookaburras men’s hockey team are bidding to follow up their World Cup and Champions Trophy successes this year with the gold medal at the Delhi Games.
“I’m entirely comfortable about going,” Dwyer said ahead of the team’s departure for India on Wednesday. “I’ve never had a concern about going this time to India. I’ve been there three or four times before and we were lucky enough to be there in March for the World Cup.
