Aditya scripts big wins
India's ace cueist Aditya Mehta has won the first two rounds at the Bulgaria Open tournament against Michael White, former world amateur champion, and six-time world champion Steve Davis.
In the first round, Mehta played well and finished the match with a 124 break to take a 4–1 lead. In his second round, Mehta won with a lead score of 4–2 with some good quality safety breaks, including a 113 break.
However, in the last 32, Mehta played against world No. 1. Judd Trump, for the second time, in two weeks lost out with a 4–2 score.
Talking about the tournament, Mehta said: "It was a good tournament for me with some big wins and the crowds here in Bulgaria are very good. I played against some really top rank players. This was indeed a great experience for me."
Aditya will be seen playing next at the UK Championship Qualifiers on Wednesday in Sheffield against the winner of Chen Zhe and Sean O'sullivan.
