New Delhi, Feb. 5: Agriculture minister Sharad Pawar came under attack on the price rise issue at a Congress Working Committee meeting here on Friday. The party’s chief ministers and permanent invitees also attended the meeting, called to discuss the rise in prices after the Congress returned to power at the Centre in mid-2009.

Srinagar boy shot dead

Srinagar, Feb. 5: A teenager, later identified as Zahid Farooq, was killed when uniformed men on board a security force vehicle opened fire, reportedly after being jeered at by some youths, at Brein along the Boulevard here on Friday, witnesses said. It is not clear if the vehicle belonged to the BSF or the CRPF.
