Kejriwal launches Maha chapter of party
After launching the Maharashtra chapter of the Aam Admi Party (AAP), activist Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday released a “black paper” in retaliation to the white paper that was tabled by the state government on November 29.
Calling the white paper a farcical exercise by the water resource department (WRD), Mr Kejriwal said, “The black paper proves how the white paper is an attempt at face-saving, largely made on account of coalition politics of compulsion.” Mr Kejriwal went on to say that the white paper was devised with the aim of bringing back Ajit Pawar back from his so-called “self imposed” exile.
The black paper prominently demands resignation of irrigation minister Sunil Tatkare, setting up an SIT probe to investigate into the irrigation scam, halting of all dam projects in the state where: a) Conditions of Administrative Approvals have been violated; and b) directives of the governor of Maharashtra have been violated.
The black paper, reportedly, has been prepared after studying and analysing data from sources like WRD, central water commission, directorate of economics and statistics, Maharashtra government, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development etc.
The black paper asks questions which, according to the AAP, have not been answered in the white paper which the state tabled.
