Zsa Zsa in hospital to treat blood clot
Ailing 93-year-old Hollywood socialite and actress Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to hospital on Friday in Los Angeles to treat a large blood clot, her publicist said.
“She was complaining this morning of pain in her leg and swelling,” John Blanchette said. Doctors examined Gabor at her Bel Air home and determined that she had
developed a massive blood clot. She was rushed to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre around 1.30 pm (2130 GMT) after they feared it could move to her heart, according to Blanchette.
It was only the latest in a series of health complications and hospital visits by Gabor in recent months. The actress was hospitalised in July after falling and breaking her hip. She underwent hip replacement surgery but suffered more complications, including a blood clot for which she had more surgery. —
