UK national holiday on wedding day?

Britain is likely to declare a national holiday on the day of wedding of Prince William and his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton, the country’s PM David Cameron has indicated. Cameron said he wanted the occasion to be “a day of national celebration” and said he was in favour of the extra day off, the Daily Telegraph reported. “There is

a debate I think we ought to have — obviously not knowing what the date is yet — but whether there ought to be a bank holiday. I think if it’s in the middle of the week it would be a very good idea to have a bank holiday,” Cameron said. —PTI
