Thief breaks into bachchan house, caught
A Madhya Pradesh native proved that no home in Mumbai is secure from burglars, after he broke into the heavily guarded Juhu residence of none other than Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachc-han on Friday evening. He was, however, caught while on his way out and is
currently in the custody of the Juhu police. According to the Juhu police, the accused has been identified as Deepak Kewat (30). The police said that Kewat climbed atop a gulmohar tree in a compound adjoining Mr Bachchan’s bungalow Jalsa and let himself down on a protective tin shade erected over the bungalow to prevent rainwater from entering the house.
“Kewat took `8,000 from a chest of drawers in the bedroom, and was on his way out when he was seen and caught by security gua-rds,” said Pratap Digha-vkar, deputy commissioner of police, zone 9.
