Soul singer Aretha has cancer

“Queen of Soul”, Aretha Franklin is reportedly suffering from pancreatic cancer.
The Respect hitmaker had recently undergone a surgery but had kept silent over the exact cause of the operation. It is now believed that the 68-year-old Motown legend was given the diagnosis of the same cancer which killed Patrick Swayze and Michael Landon, reported Fox News online.
Though this type of cancer has only a five to 10 per cent survival rate, singer Aretha Franklin had said that in a press statement that she had a very successful surgery. “God is still in control. I had superb doctors and nurses whom were blessed by all the prayers of the city and the country,” she had said.
