Rihanna snubs Beiber again at Billboard awards

Teen popstar Justin Bieber approached R&B star Rihanna five times to talk to her at the Billboard Music Awards but was stopped by her security guards.
The 17-year-old was mortified at the rebuff because he thought he and Rihanna were friends after bonding with her at the BRIT awards earlier this year.
“Justin thinks Rihanna is the most beautiful woman and supremely talented. He is in awe of her. Justin is just a red-blooded teenager, he can’t help acting like a love-sick puppy dog when he’s around her. The pair were chatting as Justin’s girlfriend Selena looked on, scowling. Then Rihanna got dragged away by a couple of her friends,” a source said. “The pair resumed their chat later but when Justin went to talk to her at the show’s climax her security blocked his path, telling him to ‘leave it’,” the source added. The Baby hitmaker was accompanied to the bash by girlfriend Selena Gomez which took place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.

‘The Beatles were lucky to have me’
London: Ringo Starr has said that he was already a “big shot” when he joined The Beatles and his bandmates were lucky to have him as their drummer.
The 70-year-old musician, who replaced Pete Best two years after the original line-up was formed, claimed he was better known in Liverpool than his bandmates when he joined the “fab four”, reported Contactmusic.
“Within Liverpool, I was a lot more well know than them. Rory and the Hurricanes (Starr’s former band) were big shots in the city. We had the suits. That was our claim to fame. The Beatles were lucky to get me. It wasn’t just that I was a big shot, I was a cool drummer,” he said.
Starr who is currently touring with his own group said that the other surviving Beatle, Paul McCartney says he is too busy to work with him anymore. —PTI

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
