Racism, not terror, is biggest modern deadly sin
Racism has been named the biggest sin todayâs society, ranked even above âterrorismâ, a new study has found.
According to the research, binge-drinking, domestic violence, tax evasion, racism, terrorism, bullying and bigotry constitute seven deadly sins in todayâs society.
Racism has been named as the biggest sin of today, ranked even above âterrorismâ the Daily Star reported.
Racism is described by the Oxford dictionary as âthe belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or racesâ. The poll, carried out by CBS Reality, has branded the original sins of wrath, envy, greed, gluttony, sloth, lust and pride as outdated. These seven sins have been given a modern makeover.
âThe research has really opened our eyes as to the strength of public feeling toward some of the biggest issues today,â programming director Sam Rowden said.

âNot even the queen wouldâve stopped usâ
Milan: The editor of Chi, which is owned by former Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi, defended his the decision to publish the pictures of the Duchess, taken on a recent private holiday in France.
âNot even a phone-call from the Queen would have stopped us,â said Alfonso Signorini. He said the issue of Chi was âspecialâ because it is was the first time the future queen of England had been seen âin a natural wayâ without the âstructuresâ imposed by her role. âWhat appears on Chi firstly is a beautiful young girl who is similar to millions of girls around the world who suntan topless,â he wrote.
