Nicole won’t invite Paris to her wedding

Socialite Nicole Richie is not inviting her former BFF (Best friend forever) Paris Hilton to her upcoming wedding because she does not want the paparazzi who trail the hotel heiress to ruin her special day.
Richie had first shot to fame as Hilton’s side kick in the superhit reality TV show Simple Life, which saw the two rich kids slumming it out in ordinary homes, but they had famously fallen out during the second series. Richie had then went on to date her now fiancé, rocker Joel Madden and had made up with Hilton, 29, after the birth of her daughter Harlow two years ago.
But Hilton who was recently caught up in a cocaine possession case, is not on the guest list of her wedding, reported New York Post online. The 26-year-old daughter of sing-ing superstar Lionel Richie is keen to have a small wedding at her father’s Bel Air mansion and is inviting 75 family members and friends. Instead of Paris, her maid of honour is expected to be designer Masha Gordon.

Fan spends $80,000 to meet Oprah
Melbourne: An ardent fan of Oprah Winfrey has spent almost $80,000 wishing to just meet and thank the talk show queen for being an inspiration to lose weight.
Karen Gatt, 39, from Melbourne, who appeared with Oprah in 2004 when she was called on stage during a show taping, sold her home and made seven trips to meet her. “I had the opportunity, I was there on the stage and she was talking to me and no words could come out,” she explained. “I just put my face in my hands and I just cried, I nearly fainted. There hasn’t been a day that I don’t kick myself and hate myself for that. I live with that regret every single day.” —PTI

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
