Middleton tan boosts bronzing product sale

The Middleton women — Catherine, Pippa and mom Carole — and their skin tan have reportedly led to huge sales of body bronzing products in Britain after the royal wedding.

British women aim to look just as brown as the Middletons during the current wedding season, the Sun reported.
Sale of bronzing products on April 29 went up by 219 per cent, according to retail giant Debenhams. The next day shoppers, inspired by the wedding highlights on television, boosted sales by 200 per cent. Debenhams beauty director Sara Stern said the appearance of the Middletons with a tan saw the department store “inundated” with calls on how to achieve the family’s “subtle” glow. Stern hailed the Middleton sisters as new beauty icons, saying: “It’s impossible to underestimate the impact that Kate and Pippa will have on the beauty industry.” —IANS
