Lohan skips hearing, faces prison
Hollywood beauty Lindsay Lohan may face arrest after missing a mandatory court appearance and the actress, who is stuck in France after losing her passport, claims that her father is responsible for it.
The 23-year-old, who flew to France to attend the Cannes Film Festival, could not make it back to Los Angeles in time for a crucial probation hearing, reported Daily Mail online.
“My passport’s been stolen. It’s clearly an inside person who works with my father that has been sent to set me up. He’s been threatening me,” said Lindsay.
Meanwhile her mother, Dina Lohan denied media reports that the passport issue is an excuse for the Mean Girls star to skip court following reports that she missed alcohol education classes imposed for a 2007 drunken driving case.
Beverly Hills superior court judge Marsha Revel had ordered Lohan, who flew to Cannes at the weekend for the annual film festival, to attend Thursday’s hearing in person.

Lily wants to write for Lady Gaga
London: After winning prestigious Ivor Novella songwriting awards, popstar Lily Allen says she wants to pen lyrics for Lady Gaga.
Allen, who recently announced her plans of quitting recording and live performances, grabbed the “Songwriter of the year” award and the singer was so “overwhelmed” that she has now decided to further explore her lyrical side, the Sun online reported.
“I didn’t realise I was an exceptional songwriter. I still just kind of think my songs are like nursery rhymes — little ditties that I write for myself. I am overwhelmed. I’m still writing songs all the time and I won’t be writing just for myself anymore. I want to write for Lady Gaga,” Allen said.
Allen has picked up three Ivor Novello songwriting awards, including songwriter of the year.
