Lohan offered 90 days’ jail
Lindsay Lohan has been offered 60-90 days in jail if she pleads guilty in the necklace theft case, but the troubled star is considering taking her chances at trial. Lohan was charged with felony grand theft after jewellery store Kamofie & Company reported that she stole a $2,500 necklace.
Superior court judge Keith Schwartz, who is presiding over the case, is said to have offered Lohan 60-90 days in jail if she pleads guilty, but the actress is understood to be resistant to accepting the terms. Lohan has until March 23 to make her decision if she is planning on taking the deal, and if she does she will then appear in court to plead on March 25.
“If Lohan does gamble, and go to trial, and the jury finds her guilty, there is a chance she wouldn’t go to state prison. The DA would assess the evidence if the jury finds her guilty,” said a source.
