The first edition of the Star News Talent Leadership and HR awards held recently in Mumbai saw an overwhelming participation from the corporate world. The packed banquet at Taj Land’s End, Mumbai, was graced by the chief mentor of Infosys, N.R. Narayana Murthy, along with top corporate honchos like Nitin Paranjpe of Hindustan

Unilever Ltd., Adil Malia of Essar Group, Gurdeep Singh of Aircel to name a few. The awards ceremony kick-started with Narayana Murthy and R.S. Sharma, chief managing director, ONGC, bagging the Life Time Achievement Award.
An emotional Mr Sharma said, “I can’t describe my feelings of being recognised in the presence of my role model.” The highlight of the function was undoubtedly the sheer presence of Murthy, who kept the crowd engrossed with his nuggets of wisdom.
