Karl lagerfeld designs collar worth $45,000
Chanel boss Karl Lagerfeld has designed a $45,000 collar, featuring 40 carats of black diamonds with a 22.33 carat emerald as the centrepiece.
The 78-year-old designer, renowned for his signature high collar, created the neckwear out of metallic leather and said the piece is a show-stopper, reported Femalefirst.
“I’m renowned for my love of a high collar and I wanted to create a true collector’s item with this one-off piece. Merging the masculine with the feminine and uniting the world of fine jewellery and high fashion, to me this collar is a work of art and a real show-stopper,” he said.

Wife calls off search for terminator star
Los Angeles: Actor Nick Stahl’s wife has called off a search for the missing actor, begging the troubled star to return home when he’s ready.
The 32-year-old actor, who played John Connor in Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, first disappeared for more than a week last month but he re-emerged and was admitted to a rehabilitation clinic, reported TMZ online.
Stahl, who has battled ongoing drug issues, walked out of the California treatment centre earlier this month and went to stay at a friend’s house, but he has since vanished again. He was last spotted on June 14.
His estranged wife Rose, mother of Stahl’s young daughter Marlo, has opted to end her quest to track him down. — pti
