Zaetta gets cleared of Oz charges
Melbourne: Actress Tania Zaetta, best known for her roles in Bollywood films Bunty Aur Babli and Salaam Namaste, has been cleared of public nuisance charges by Queensland police.
Zaetta on Wednesday app-eared in Southport Magistrates Court, AAP reported.
The police dropped the charges relating to an incident on the Surfers Paradise nightclub strip on March 21, when she was arrested for obstructing police and causing a public nuisance.
The actress said she was pleased the matter had been sorted out and maintained there was no wrongdoing on her part.
Zaetta first hit the headlines in 2008 when a scandal broke over allegations about her personal conduct while entertaining Australian troops in Afgha-nistan. Claims that she had sex with Australian servicemen were leaked in a defence paper and the ensuing negative publicity tarnished her reputation at home and abroad. —PTI
