Hurley granted divorce from Nayar in London

British actress Elizabeth Hurley and Indian-origin businessman Arun Nayar, who were married for four years, were divorced in London on Wednesday.
District Judge Penny Cushing at the high court’s family division granted them the divorce decree after a very short hearing, which was not attended by either of the two parties.
The decree was granted to Hurley by the judge over Nayar’s “unreasonable behaviour.”
The judge held that the respondent (Nayar) has behaved in such a way that the petitioner (Hurley) cannot be reasonably expected to live with the respondent.
The divorce will be legal after a decree absolute, the final decree, is issued by the court.
Hurley can apply for the decree absolute six weeks and one day after the date of the decree nisi.
Hurley and Nayar had two weddings in 2007, the first one at Sudeley Castle near Winchcombe in Gloucestershire and the second, a traditional Hindu wedding, at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodphur.
Forty-six-year-old Hurley and Nayar do not have any children together, but she has a son, nine-year-old Damian, from a relationship with American film producer Steve Bing.
Hurley had announced in December last year that she and Nayar had separated for a few months. “Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this,” she tweeted on December 12 after she was photographed kissing Australian cricketer Shane Warne.
The actress, who is a close friend of actor Hugh Grant after having dated him early in his career, has conducted a very public romance with Warne and was seen cheering him during the Indian Premier League matches in India.
