Hinduism not a gimmick, says Roberts
Oscar-winning Hollywood star Julia Roberts (Pretty Woman), the recent convert to Hinduism, says, “My opting for Hinduism is not a religious gimmick”. She adds: “It is similar to Patsy of Razor’s Edge by Somerset Maugham. We share a common aspect of finding peace and tranquillity of mind in Hinduism, one of the oldest and respected religions of civilisation”.
Roberts argues: “No, I have no intention of demeaning any other religion simply because of my fondness for Hinduism. I don’t believe in comparing religions or human beings. A comparison is a very mean thing to do. I have received real spiritual satisfaction through Hinduism.”

Dance steps reveal your personality?
London: Want to gauge a prospective partner’s personality? Invite him or her to the dance floor, as a study says that the way one gyrates in time to music could reveal information about one’s personality.
Geoff Luck of University of Jyvaskyla in Finland, who led the study, was quoted by the Daily Telegraph as saying, “Music is known to evoke strong emotions in people and emotions can be expressed through bodily movement. People use body motions as reliable indicators of others’ personality types.”
For the study, the researchers studied the dance moves of 60 volunteers who had been selected from 900 people who conducted personality tests.
