Hefner to marry in June

Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner has finalised a date for his wedding with fiancé Crystal Harris.
The 84-year-old founder of the adult magazine will tie the knot with Harris at the Playboy Mansion on June 18, a representative confirmed, reported Us magazine.
“It will be intimate with a close number of friends here at the mansion. No big blowout affair. Something very personal,” Hefner said. The Playboy icon is preparing to marry for the third time after proposing to 24-year-old Harris on the Christmas Day.
An insider said they have set the list at less than 300 guests and that Harris is close to making one other important choice — the gown.
The Playmate, who got a $90,000 ring from her fiancé, is eyeing a strapless dress by designer Romona Keveza.

Texas beauty queen loses bid to keep crown
San Antonio: A Texas beauty queen who accused pageant organisers of harassing her about her weight lost an appeal to a judge who denied her efforts to temporarily forbid a new Miss San Antonio from taking her place.
Attorneys for Domonique Ramirez say the 17-year-old isn’t giving up and will now take her case to a Texas jury. But pageant organisers, weary of a case fit for a soap opera, wasted no time crowning Ashley Dixon as Miss San Antonio, placing the tiara on her while the former runner-up sat in the gallery of the courtroom.
‘’The judge’s decision today speaks for itself,’’ said Linda Woods, president of the Miss Bexar County Organisation, whi-ch runs the Miss San Antonio pageant. Ramirez was not in court on Wednesday for the decision; her attorneys said she was ill. State district judge Cathleen Stryker set a March trial after denying a motion for a temporary injunction following a two-day hearing, in which Ramirez testified she was ordered to lose 13 pounds. —AP

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
